1987 – TOP-TOY opens first Megastore in Denmark

TOP-TOY's first megastore called "SUPERLEG" was opened in Taastrup in Denmark in 1987. It was a brand new and totally different sales concept, and the Danish public loved it.

1995 - TOYS”R”US in Denmark

In 1995, TOP-TOY entered a franchise agreement with TOYS "R" US Inc. in which we would convert our eight "SUPERLEG" stores to TOYS"R"US stores. Today TOP-TOY holds the Master-Franchise for TOYS"R"US stores in the Nordic region and operates 48 stores divided over the Nordic countries.

1995 - TOYS”R”US in Sweden

In 1995, TOP-TOY entered a franchise agreement with TOYS "R" US and began the takeover of existing TOYS"R"US stores in Sweden. Today TOP-TOY owns all TOYS"R"US stores in Sweden, which is 16 stores in total.

1999 - TOYS”R”US in Norway

In 1999, TOP-TOY expanded its business and opened its first TOYS"R"US store in Oslo, Norway. Today TOP-TOY has 9 TOYS"R"US megastores in Norway.

2006 - TOYS”R”US in Finland

In 2006, TOP-TOY expanded its business and opened its first TOYS"R"US store in Jyväskylä, Finland. Today the store chain consists of 5 megastores in the country.

2007 - TOYS”R”US in Iceland

In 2007, TOP-TOY expanded its business and opened its first TOYS"R"US store in Reykjavik, Iceland. Today the store chain consists of 3 megastores in the country.
