Conditions for reviewing

There is only one thing we ask of you if you want to review a product:

1. That you keep a good form; remember that young children might read it

We welcome you to be honest - in fact we urge you to give you most honest opinion you can give about the product. We do not remove reviews because they are critical; critical reviews are just as helpful as positive ones in a buying situation.

When you have uploaded your review it will not appear on the review page right away. It will be screened for objectionable, promotional and inappropriate content before it is published. We have to take into account that children might be reading the reviews and therefore we do not accept reviews with content that is unsuitable for children. And we generally do not accept content that can be offensive.

What makes a good review?

• Be detailed and specific. What would you have wanted to know before you purchased the toy?
• Include the "why": The best reviews include not only whether you liked or disliked a toy, but also why. Feel free to talk about related toys and how this item compares to them.
• Be specific: Your review should focus on specific features of the toy and your experience with it.
• Be sincere: As stated above we believe that all opinions about our toys can be helpful in a buying situation and therefore we urge you to be sincere.
• Not too short and not too long. Aim for between 75 and 300 words.

• Profane or spiteful remarks
• Content which might be considered defamatory, blasphemous, racist or incendiary
• Remarks that repeat criminal accusations

Promotional content:

• Advertisements, promotional material or repeated posts that make the same point excessively
• Sentiments by or on behalf of a person, company or web site with a financial interest in the product or a directly competing product (including reviews by authors, artists, publishers, manufacturers, or third-party merchants selling the product)
• Solicitations for helpful votes

Inappropriate content:

• Reviews not written in English
• Reviews that are not your own original work or have been previously published elsewhere
• Phone numbers, postal mailing addresses, and URLs external to toysrus.is
• Details about availability, price, or alternate ordering/shipping
• Remarks directed at other reviewers
